How can I receive e-mail on my Blackberry within a certain timeframe?

I have a Blackberry Pearl 8100 with T-Mobile. I hate receiving my work e-mails on my computer AND my Blackberry…I’d like to receive e-mails only from the time I go home until the time I get up to go to work. I’d also like my calendar to sync all day. How can I do this?

Myself I have blackberry 8320 with T-Mobile, and being an ex represenative, I know that there is no way to have a time frame set up to receive your emails from after work until you go to work. The only way you will be able to do it is if you go to browser every morning, and delete your work e-mail, which is a hassle if you ask me.

There are third party apps that you can setup a profile to have the data connection only push certain email accounts or none at all within a time period. Google it, as I remember there are several. I wanna say its BerryBlocker

Does your work use a BES system? That’s a work system for BlackBerry, which would mean they have a dedicated server for their BlackBerry devices. (If the company is fairly large, that’s likely the case)
Have you ever notice a program when you start up your computer called Desktop Manager? If so there’s a setting in Desktop Manager (if you’re on BES) that will tell email not to be delivered to your device while it’s plugged into the computer.
Under Email Settings, there should be a check box that probably isn’t checked that says something like Turn off message redirection while my device is connected to my computer.
Checking this option will stop email from being routed to your device while it’s plugged into your machine (and when Desktop Manager is running).
I totally sympathize. Having too many emails on your BlackBerry renders it useless!
I’ve written a bunch of BlackBerry related blog entries, one deals specifically with dealing with the TONS of email we receive on our BlackBerry devices.
Good luck!
