What would cause a fairly new blackberry pearl to keep turning itself off?

II bought my daughter a blackberry pearl, its less than a year old and yesterday it suddenly started turning itself off, the battery is charged and weve taken it out and put it back in, she says she hasnt dropped it and i can think of no reason for it to do this.

    Try a operating system update.

    you probaly over charged it
