Is there a way to store documents on the Blackberry 8830 without additional software?

I know I can open attachments and read documents. But is there any way to file those documents (Word or Excel) on the Blackberry for easy retrieval later (I know I can file them in e-mail folders but I am looking for some kind of document folder instead). Is there such a function on the Blackberry 8830? (I also know there is software that will do this but I wanted to see if the native phone has this function at all)

No because it is the attachment viewer that gives you the ability to view those document types, therefor there is no way to open those file types without a third party application.
