on most phones you can go to settings and find homescreen settigns and then it will say banner, and you can make it say whatever you want,
i dont not have a blackberry yet, but it is usually similar on most phones,

you have to do it as an MMS.
after you select the contact press the menu button, and go to attach picture. then send it. :]
