the first blackberry storm update has been leaked on the crackberry website, apparently its fixed a lot of bugs in the storm and made it faster. the official release is tuesday i believe. also more updates are said to be released later in december….maybe people have to wait till dec 5/15 to get their storm because RIM wanted them to get an updated version…idk

yeah, many people follow the cattle to the rim of the edge. the truth be told, iPhone will be popular because kids make them so. the storm is the first business based phone to have all the multimedia capabilities of an iPhone and without the proprietary issues of Apple (yuk!). Storm is expandable, iPhone is not. Storm is more advanced, iPhone is just an upgrade to the 3G network with some minor firmware updates (nothing that new and great as AT&T has the worst data coverage ever).

wifi? look at the rate the iphones battery dies, also where does one get wifi 24/7 unless at home or in public places. and if you know the e71 (which has wifi and a small screen that is unusable) - you will see that there are some trade offs, the storm comes out better. the only worry is the alpha stage and the OS..

also, you can go to a verizon corporate store and they will update your phone software for you.

i got the storm when it came out on friday. i have been using it as my main phone. i previously had the iphone 3g. the verizon network is faster by my comparison. yes the iphone is loaded with apps, but remember people that the iphone 3g is the 3rd installment of the phone, which this is blackberry’s first. any bugs or lagging will be fixed shortly, there will be a wireless zap to everyone who has the phone by the end of the month or mid december.

It looks hot!! It will give apple a run. However, most of my friends didn’t get the first version of iphones so now they got the iPHone 3G and can’t afford the storm! Plus, they love the games and support they are receiving with the iphone (itunes, iphoto, and the genius bar)! I have to check out the BlackBerry Storm! Even the At&t rep gave the storm a thumbs up! ha
Yes, I have the iPhone and I am in love. I had the Nextel Blackberry for 3 to 4 years (no software).

the suretouch can be disabled so it would work like an iphone. you can customize everything

THERES NO WIFI…. and Verizon would charge for that too anyways.
I have an iPhone, its amazing. Gotta try the touch screen on the Storm though looks cool.

i love the touch screen on the storm! you can move the screen around without selecting things. I can scroll up and down by lightly touching the screen, and then press down when i want to select something. with my old iphone i would end up pressing links when i just wanted to scroll, very annoying. so glad i got my storm1

since 9/11 fbi has been listening to all our calls through every phone company. ur comment also does not make sense, since its up to the phone company to disclose info, not the cell manufacturer.

why do you talk shit when you obviously dont kno shit? storm DOES have a youtube app, which you can download from BB’s APP STORE, its got the fastest hardware on a phone, and uses the same scratch resistant glass thats on all other touch phones, including the iphone. and its funny you say this phone has no 3g in other countries since it first came out thru vodaphone in UK and australia. fact is this is the first tru world phone, with both HSDPA and EVDO, has 3g everywhere except southern africa

WOW I LOVE THE STORM! the bugs will be corrected soon with updates, just like the iphone was. i traded in my iphone because the storm is WAY faster and has better features. that was a GREAT decision! i also heard an updated wifi version will be released soon, so if you want wifi then just wait a big. you won’t be disapointed! other iphone users like myself just don’t like knowing they no longer have the best phone so they hate it for that reason. i switched and am glad i still have the best phon
